Almost 100 Things About Me

1. I should have been an architect, had a chance and blew it.
2. I went to college the first time to be an engineer.
3. I played volleyball in high school and was pretty good.
4. I went to college on a rowing scholarship even though I had never rowed.
5. I was an ATO little sister and didn't sleep with any of them.
6. I once had a job selling cameras and film.
7. I was a department manager in a retail store when I was 19.
8. I got married and it was a huge mistake.
9. My divorse was finalized in a record 6 days from obtaining a lawyer.
10. I was the 3rd woman hired as an officer in the city where I worked.
11. I was the first woman to stay more than a year in that job. I stayed 19.
12. I grew up in a large city and now live in the country outside a small city.
13. The most influential person in my life was my mother's father.
14. I was the 1st woman promoted to Sgt. and it took them 7 years to promote the 2nd. That was 5 years after I left.
15. I was the only female officer for three years.
16. I got my teaching degree as Plan B for a career after I retired.
17. It didn't really work out that way.
18. I was the only female out of 6 in my class that actually graduated from the police academy.
19. I finished 2nd in my class.
20. The other cadettes called me "Deer Woman" because of my swiftness and ability to jump the wall.
21. I am trying to figure out Plan C.
22. I was awarded Female Law enforcement Officer of the Year once. I beat out a county deputy and a state trooper.
23. My picture was in the Criminal Justice part of our local Jr. college catelog for years.
24. I've seen people die.
25. I have helped save some lives.
26. I can't count the number of people I have put in jail or written tickets to.
27. I never treated anyone of them wrongly or unfairly.
28. My mom was an English teacher.
29. I can't spell very well and I type with two fingers.
30. My name on Prodogy a million years ago was SlyFox.
31. I met Cedarflame in a chat room and we have been great friends for years!
32. I met Sharon at a New Years Day football party in '98 and even though I am not a football fan, I am so very glad that I went!
33. I used to play left bench on a woman's major league slow pitch softball team that went all the way to Nationals.
34. I love to go camping.
35. I can cook but only love to cook when I am outdoors camping.
36. I was married to a competitive bodybuilder and was in very good shape myself.
37. I am not now.
38. I am a high school math teacher and I love Geometry.
39. I finished my masters during my 1st year of teaching.
40. I will finish my Educational Specialist Degree this semester (Spring 07).
41. No Child Left Behind leaves a great many children behind.
42. I consider myself to be a liberal conservative or a conservative liberal, very moderate politically.
43. I go to church regularly and try to be a better person than I currently am.
44. I am a Life Time Girl Scout and earned my Senior 1st Class (today's gold Award) which is like an Eagle Scout.
45. I was honored with two awards from Girl Scouts, one as an Outstanding Educator and the other for my volunteer work.
46. The educator one was for my work as a DARE officer not a math teacher.
47. My picture has been in the paper many times most recently for using some new technology in my classroom.
48. I like to work in my yard, planting things and watching them grow.
49. I let houseplants die.
50. I look like a Drag Queen in a dress and a whore in makeup so I avoid both.
51. I have a sick sense of humor and laugh at inappropriate times.
52. People say that I am very laid back and have a calming effect on them.
53. I am slow to anger but watch the fuck out when I do get mad!
54. I drive a vehicle until the wheels fall off because it grates on me to pay more for a vehicle than I originally paid for my house (pre-remodel of course).
55. I like photography, I think that I have a pretty good eye.
56. I used to drive 4 1/2 hours each way every weekend for a long distance relationship.
57. That got old but I still keep in contact with them. Good people.
58. I like guns.
59. I am not on solar time naturally. I would rather stay up late and sleep late.
